Darkover 2003
FRIDAY
6:00 PM - Despiser (2003). It would not be too unfair to call this What Dreams May Come as seen by Chuck Norris. A man rescues his wife who has been kidnapped into a videogame purguatory.
8:15 PM - The Sea Hawk (1924). An incredible silent pirate spectacle; the 1940 version used the battle sequences but threw out the plot.
10:30 PM - Dead Like Me (2003). Pilot for the series. Philosophical and sick.
12:30 AM - Poltergash (1983). A closet with an, um, opening.
SATURDAY
2:00 PM - Allegro Non Troppo (1979). Fantasia gone sad. Actually a compilation of shorts by Bruno Bozzetto done to classical music.
3:15 PM - Accumulator (2002). Czech-language (with subtitles) film of a revolt against television, partly from inside them.
5:00 PM - The Mummy Returns (2001). Not much resemblance to Egyptian history or mythology, but fun to watch.
7:15 PM - The Two Towers (2002). Helm's Deep in the big muddy.
10:15 PM - Curse of the Queerwolf (1994). It is not at all explicit, first of all. It is, however, in REALLY bad taste. Same people who made A Polish Vampire in Burbank.
11:45 PM - Muffy the Vampire Layer (1995?). From the movie, not the tv show.
SUNDAY (intended for children, adults permitted)
10:00 AM - Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001)
12:45 PM - Melody Time (1948). One of several attempted follow-ups to Fantasia, this one based largely on folktales.
