DARKOVER WORKSHOP SCHEDULE

FRIDAY

7:00 PM - Making perfume splashes or oils. Jennifer Heise.
Sample the scents of various essential and fragrance oils. Blend your own personal scent in an oil or perfume base. Class limit 12, materials fee $3.00

SATURDAY

10:00 AM - Spinning for the Rotationally Impaired. Sarah Fiedler.
Learn to spin wool into yarn on a CD spindle. You get the spindle, some wool, a handout with tips & tricks, individual instruction & I'll be around all weekend for help if you need it. You will learn to get started, to spin, & to take your yarn off the spindle & what you can do with it. If you have materials but are mystified, bring your stuff and I'll help! Class limit 8, materials fee $5.00

11:00 AM - Regency Ball Practice. Susan de Guardiola.
Learn and practice the waltz and other dances for the Regency Ball.

Noon - Ball Practice Continued

2:00 PM - Book binding. Petra.
Make your own blank book. Two methods, simple & complex. Bring your own material or use ours. Class limit 15. All ages. Children under 9 must be accompanied by an adult or teenager. Class limit 15.

3:00 PM - Book binding continued

4:00 PM - Portable Kumihimo (Japanese Braiding) Revisited for beginners. Halla.
Learn a fancy cord for costumes & jewelry. Note: this is a different pattern from the previous sessions. Class limit 10, materials fee $4.00

5:00 PM - Amber polishing / amber work -- 2 hours, about 1 hour for the polishing. Nancy Janda.
4 small pieces of unsorted clear Dominican amber -- there may be insects! per person so there is plenty to work with afterward. All supplies are included with the fee. Class limit 10, materials fee $10.00
